Secondment Opportunity - Programme Lead Place, Home and Housing (Ref: HIS855) 1 year secondment opportunity. Commensurate with existing salary. Up to 37.5 hours p/w. Based in Edinburgh.

Health Improvement Scotland is offering a 1 year secondment opportunity to housing professionals to lead the Place Home and Housing Programme.

If you are a dynamic and improvement focused housing professional, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to support housing’s contribution to improved health and wellbeing outcomes as part of Healthcare Improvement’s Improvement hub (ihub - http://ihub.scot/) - a new resource working to support Integrated Health and Social Care partnerships, improve the quality of services they provide for the people of Scotland.

 In developing the role of Housing as part of ihub’s improvement offer the post holder will lead and develop the Place, Home and Housing programme together with all cross cutting aspects of housing related work within Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) programmes. The post-holder will provide leadership in supporting Health and Social Care Partnerships and the housing sector to improve the integration of their strategic planning and delivery processes in order to achieve positive change in services which will enable people to live within a home environment that enables greater independence and wellbeing and which will also lead to more effective use of resources.

 Leading this programme, will require you to be a qualified housing professional (Masters Degree level or equivalent) with extensive experience and understanding of housing strategy, policy, research and the challenges associated with balancing supply and demand. You will be an authentic and engaging leader with a track record in delivering national housing initiatives and possess excellent communication and influencing skills to affect substantial change across the sector.
