Graham Harper has been appointed Chief Executive of Care and Repair Edinburgh with immediate effect. Mr Harper had previously carried out the role on an interim basis since February 2014.
A native of Dunfermline and former pupil of Queen Anne High School he graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 1993 with an honours degree in Building Surveying. He previously held positions with both Canmore and Viewpoint Housing Associations, and more recently consultancy roles with his own practice, the Board Development Agency and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.
He commented: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be appointed Chief Executive. Care and Repair Edinburgh does so much valuable work for older and disabled people in Edinburgh to improve their health and wellbeing. It is an exciting and challenging time to be working to deliver services to older people and our ambition is for the organisation to be at the heart of this in Edinburgh. We are well placed to develop further exciting services in conjunction with the City of Edinburgh Council”.
Care and Repair Edinburgh Chair, Elaine MacMaster, commented: “We’re delighted Graham has taken up the post. In his short time here he has made great strides towards achieving the organisation’s ambitions and the Board is looking forward to continuing working with him and the wider team to deliver these vital services.”
