Enabling older and disabled people to stay in their own homes

National Policy Statement

Care and Repair Scotland launched its National Policy Statement at the annual conference in Dunblane on Friday 25 March.

The document presents the vision of the Board for the future provision of Care and Repair services in Scotland.

Alex Neil MSP welcomed the publication of the statement and said in his Ministerial Foreword:

'With an ageing population in Scotland there will be pressure on limited public resources and health services to deal with increasing care needs. By supporting people through the process of getting adaptations to their homes, Care and Repair services enable older people to stay in their homes for as long as possible.'
